This project started with a simple question: 'Can you design a boss character that feels like Street Fighter III?' The answer was yes – but it took 5 months, 9 animations, 200+ frames, and countless revisions to get it right. I worked closely with the client, understanding his post-apocalyptic world, his love for 90s arcade games, and his specific vision for each of the boss's three forms. The result is a 128px pixel art boss with smooth, weighty animations – from a calm coated figure to a raging bare-chested fighter to a giant monster. Every pixel was placed by hand, with selout, volumetric shading, and a custom color palette. This is my best work yet.
